Call for Student Submissions: 2023 Data Science Symposium (DSS) and Covid Information Commons Student Paper Challenge

The Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub (NEBDHub) and the National Student Data Corps (NSDC) have extended the 2023 Data Science Symposium (DSS) submission deadline to Monday, August 14th, by 11:59 pm ET.

The DSS is a virtual forum for a global cohort of undergraduate, graduate, and recently-graduated students interested in developing data science research projects. Student participants, also known as NSDC Explorers, will discover best practices for academic research, connect with other data science students, and expand their data science knowledge and community.

The COVID Information Commons (CIC) has also extended the deadline for the 2023 CIC Student Paper Challenge! Final submissions are now due Monday, August 14th, by 11:59 pm ET.
Students from higher education institutions around the world are invited to synthesize scientific research on COVID-19 into an insightful 4-5 page paper.

Papers should consider research that contributes to COVID recovery, health insights and discoveries, and innovations.

STEM and healthcare researchers, faculty, professionals, and graduate students are also invited to participate in this challenge as Mentors and Judges.
